Velvet Fabric
The Aputure Barndoors are made of four leaves, each with an internal black velvet fabric to maximise light absorption, allowing for virtually no light leak. Though maximum light control will be achieved with the included black reflector dish, the 4 leaves can be mounted onto the standard Aputure Silver Reflector Dish or the Aputure Fresnel as well.

Gel Holder
The Aputure Barndoors also include a magnetic gel holder that allows filmmakers to easily add colour to their lights.
Caution: When using colour gels with powerful LED lights, such as the Aputure C300D, the heat will cause the filter gels to distort or burn after a period of time. You are advised to change new sheets of colour filters once every three hours during constant usage. You are also recommended to use ROSCO or LEE for better results.
